Think Interior Design – Projects

I am truly at my happiest when I am in the throes of an interior design project. Be it a colour consultation or a room restyle, I take enormous pleasure in immersing my client’s personality and individuality in the space. The space you live in can totally affect your mood, how you work and ultimately how you live.

The colour, space, as well as the furniture you use, can really transform a room. Big changes are possible even on a small budget. I am lucky to have worked on a variety of projects from bedroom restyles, summerhouse makeovers, hallway redesigns and living room makeovers. Have a look at some of recent projects below.

Room makeover in Surrey

Brief :
The aim was to update what was a colourful pretty little girl’s bedroom, in order to create a pre teen look that was more paired down and less cluttered!
Execution :
This was achieved largely with a reduced colour palette. Three colours were selected and this was subtly incorporated into the design to achieve this simplified, more “mature” look. Sometimes the principle of less is more works.

Hallway Restyle in london

Brief :
The client was an artist, and had a house brimming with colour and beautiful paintings and objects, with the exception of the hall. It had become a cluttered thoroughfare, rather than a place of joy that grabbed you the minute you entered.
Execution :
The riot of colour and happiness we wanted to achieve is aided largely by a large accent wallpaper that envelopes you as you enter the house. The bold splash of yellow on the staircase is also calling out to people as they enter.

bedRoom makeover in surrey

Brief :
The client had dark oppressive built in furniture and wanted to remove it and flood the room with light.A calm and tranquil space were key requirements.
Execution :
All dark storage was removed and replaced with light built in wardrobes either side of the fireplace. The look was very minimal, with simple copper pendants dropping either side of the bed to add a touch of finesse!

Summer House in Balham

Brief :
To add order, airiness and a splash of colour to a tired and neglected space.
Execution :
Walls and floors were painted and sanded and the furniture was given a bright facelift. Additional lighting was added along with creative storage solutions to produce the finished result.
